Pastels. I'm so much more at home doing the majority of my art work in physical media, this probably makes me horribly outdated and old. |

Despite Cher's attempts to thwart us, six years ago theatre_nerd and I were married. Happy Anniversary, Nerdly One and thanks to everyone who's been there with us. |

| Eyeglasses success |

Finally managed to get my eyes checked today, after going to the wrong place twice. The experience itself wasn't bad at all. I do need glasses to correct a slight bit of near sightedness. I have the prescription, I just need to pick out some frames. |

| A note about the music I posted |
[Sep. 21st, 2009|05:33 am] |

Most of the music I made recently was during periods where I was feeling negative, upset or annoyed, which you can probably surmise from the titles. Recently I've had some significant changes in my outlook, and this seemed to be a nice way to package up all those more negative moments and let them go. |

I was thinking about doing a small run of physical copies if anyone is interested. Let me know. |

| More coloring experiments |
[Sep. 20th, 2009|08:22 pm] |
Might not look a whole lot different than my usual coloring but the process is a little more techincal here. I wanted to see how it looked over very light pencil as opposed to something inked like in the last one.

Recently I had the good fortune to share a bottle of Absinthe with Joan. It is now legal to buy Absinthe with wormwood in Nebraska or so we discovered when we went to buy some Ouzo. I've had it before sans wormwood, so I was prepared for the taste. The brand was called Lucid. Joan felt it tasted a bit too sweet with the dissolved sugar cube and I tended to agree. On the whole it had strong anise taste and quite a bit more bite than Ouzo. Despite it's alleged hallucinatory properties, there was nothing unusual about it's affects, aside from a bit more of a fuzzy feeling than I'm used to. I'm am curious to try a few other brands to see what the differences are. It was an enjoyable experience with some excellent company. |

When my cancer came back I had just started a new job and was very fortunate that they were understanding about needing time off. If they had let me go, I would have been financially ruined, even with the insurance we're still paying off bills to this very day. I have friends who are in dire straits from a broken system. There needs to be a change. |

It's been a hectic last few weeks: conventions, visits, birthdays, baby showers. It was all amazingly great but now things are settling down and I'm trying to get back into my regular schedule. Mostly I'm trying to get back into working on art regularly but it's proving difficult to settle back in. Everything feels weird. None the less I'm getting a good start on Eye-Eighty part 51, and I'm trying to get a few other projects off the ground. |

So I feeling like crap today when I found this:
It cheered me up until I saw it was made by the same guy who did Machine Girl, and Tokyo Gore Police, and both of those movies really suck so I don't have high hopes... but oh well, at least there are geisha. |

Guitar practice - Day 2 - Status: Awful
My ring finger likes to smoosh up against my middle finger on the fret board, it is annoying. |
